Our Engineering team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the systems and technologies that drive Unifonic’s solutions. We work closely with other departments to ensure our products and services meet the needs of our customers. If you are passionate about technology and are excited about working on cutting-edge communication and engagement solutions, we want you on our team.
As a Software Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team that designs and delivers a drag-and-drop workflow builder powered by Camunda, builds and maintains integration connectors with platforms such as Salla, Shopify, and other marketplaces, and integrates and operationalizes data-producing channels including the Web SDK and other event streams. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and an excellent developer experience for both internal teams and customers. This is a hands-on role where you will regularly contribute to production code while owning team execution, delivery, and technical direction.

Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of engineers to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Supporting recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of engineering talent.
Working closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to prioritize, plan, and schedule work.
Driving architecture decisions for scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
Ensuring strong engineering practices: code reviews, testing, observability, performance, and operational excellence.
Communicating status, risks, and requirements clearly across stakeholders and teams.
Facilitating continuous learning and improvement for the team and its members.
Working in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and shifting priorities.
Job requirements
What you’ll bring:
7+ years of relevant software engineering experience, with 5+ years building scalable, production-grade backend systems.
Proven experience leading a team (Team Lead / Tech Lead / Engineering Lead), including execution ownership and coaching.
Strong hands-on Java experience (Must).
Kafka experience (Must) — event streaming, consumer groups, reliability patterns, and throughput scaling.
Kubernetes + Docker (Must) — containerized deployments, troubleshooting, and operating production workloads.
Experience building integration-heavy systems, including third-party APIs, webhooks, auth flows, retries, idempotency, rate limits, and observability.
Experience designing workflow-driven platforms, orchestration, state handling, and long-running processes.
Camunda (Big plus) — BPMN workflows, external tasks/jobs, process design, and production operations.
ReactJS + TypeScript (Plus) — especially for workflow builder / UI-heavy products.
Experience integrating with e-commerce / marketplace platforms such as Salla, Shopify, or similar ecosystems.
Familiarity with caches Redis and databases PostgreSQL
Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Drone CI is a plus).
Familiarity with code quality tooling (e.g., SonarQube) and testing/performance tools (e.g., Cucumber, JMeter, Locust, wrk).
Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with offshore/remote stakeholders.
