    Established the company

     

    We began in Saudi Arabia to power reliable, carrier-grade communications.

  • 2008

    Began operations in the GCC

     

    Opened our first office in Khobar and explored the infrastructure requirements for fragmented, regulated markets.

  • 2018

    Expanded our scope beyond messaging

     

    Raised $21M to expand our platform, connecting WhatsApp, SMS, and Voice channels.





  • 2021

    Transformed into a unified CX platform

     

    $125M from SoftBank and Sanabil enabled us to unify messaging, automation, contact center, and conversational AI, orchestrating complete customer journeys in one platform.

  • 2022

    Accelerated AI-first vision with SESTEK

     

    SESTEK, a global AI leader, joined Unifonic. Together, we built production-ready autonomous agents by combining conversational intelligence and omnichannel infrastructure. 

     

  • 2023

    Went live with autonomous agents

     

    We implemented the region's first fully tested autonomous AI agents in a live enterprise environment, handling complete customer interactions from start to finish.

  • 2025

    Repositioned as an AI-native CX platform

     

    Transitioned to an AI-native platform, with autonomous intelligence, predictive engagement, and instant personalization built in.

Ahmed Hamdan

CEO & Co-founder

Ahmed, a software engineer, founded Unifonic when he saw fragmented communications unsuitable for businesses in the region. He treats setbacks as opportunities for quick learning and focuses on moving AI from experimentation to accountable solutions.

Hassan Hamdan

Co-founder

Hassan spent nearly two decades working on infrastructure, including telecom regulations, system reliability, and compliance in fragmented markets. His work is why Unifonic handles billions of conversations reliably and why organizations trust us with their most sensitive customer data.
